The AAIA offers a range of fellowships, scholarships and bursaries across Australia. Many of these scholarships are offered through the Institutional members of the AAIA that are Universities or High Schools while others are offered through the Societies of Friends located in each state.


If you are interested in such scholarships you should contact your local Friends group or Institutional Member. The two scholarships offered via the Sydney headquarters of the Institute are listed below.

  1. Scholarship for Research in Greece (Canberra Friends/Hellenic Club of Canberra)

  2. With generous support from the Hellenic Club of Canberra, the Canberra Friends of the AAIA award a scholarship, generally every 2 years, for a student or other scholar from the ACT to spend between 2 and 12 months working on a research project in Greece. 


  3. The Scholarship was awarded to Ms Anna Tsalapatanis for travel in 2013.
